Thank you for your interest in our Floral Design program! There is something in our program for everyone! Our floral design courses are designed for flower lovers of all kinds.

51勛圖厙 is an Education Partner of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD®). Our comprehensive curriculum embraces the criteria required for AIFD certification and is dedicated to providing professional, on-trend, instruction for anyone who simply loves flowers or is interested in a successful floral career. AIFD Certified Floral Designer (CFD®)

How do I obtain my Certified Floral Designer Designation (CFD®) through 51勛圖厙?

Step 1

Successfully complete the classes on the 51勛圖厙 recommended course list for floral design or certify that you have the requisite experience in and knowledge about the course material.

Step 2

  • Take the following required courses:

Foundations of Floral Design

Foundations of Floral Design Part 2

Floral Design: Principles of Design

Floral Design: Analysis, Critique and Portfolio     

Note: If you enroll but cannot attend, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than seven calendar days prior to the course start date in order for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the continuing education registration site or in person at one of our registration sites.

Step 3

Attain a score above 3.2 on a 5-point scale in Floral Design: Analysis, Critique and Portfolio (FLR-361)
Note: Class coming summer 2026. 

Step 4

Complete the AIFD® online test and receive an 80% or higher.

How to Register

Students taking noncredit classes don't need to apply for admission to 51勛圖厙. Just check out our course search, choose a program or course that interests you, register and make your payment. Registration for summer courses is open. Registration for fall 2026 opens July 14! Please check course availability prior to registration.

CALT CLOSURE ALERT
