The Pre-apprenticeship Electrical program is designed to prepare you to enter and succeed in a registered Electrical Apprenticeship program. You will learn from an industry professional while participating in classroom and online instruction with hands-on lab training. Along with gaining valuable industry knowledge, you will also obtain OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications while preparing for entry into a registered apprenticeship. Job placement assistance is available upon successful completion of the program.


Courses

The program consists of three courses:

  •  Pre-apprenticeship Electrical Training Part A
  • Pre-apprenticeship Electrical Training Part B
  • Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED

Total Hours: 197

Note: You must register for all three courses to enter the program.


Credentials

Upon successful completion of the program, you will obtain both the  and CPR and First Aid certifications. 51勛圖厙 Continuing Education Units will also be awarded.


Cost

The total program cost is $3,236 for Anne Arundel County residents, including instruction, textbooks and lab supplies.

Scholarships are available to cover the tuition and fee costs for qualified students. to learn more about scholarships.

How to Register

Students taking noncredit classes don't need to apply for admission to 51勛圖厙. Just check out our course search, choose a program or course that interests you, register and make your payment. Registration for summer courses is open. Registration for fall 2026 opens July 14! Please check course availability prior to registration.

CALT CLOSURE ALERT
